No Mo' Ca'

well... i've been busy with work hence the hiatus once again. been on the road more and more and finding myself in loads of work. lovin it! :) but it's taking a toll on this page and some of my personal projects. so a quick update on those projects: finished my latest acting show, will start to write a short film, designing two non-profit webpages, attracting a foreign show to come to America, and learning golf. that's all the side stuff.

however the real reason for this post is a sad one. for some reason, and i have no idea how it was possible, my youngest sister obtained her drivers license. just thinking of how this tiny, short tempered, sometimes absent-minded little girl passed the test on her first attempt in Lancaster completely baffles me. personally it took me three tries (and if you want to know the stupid reasons why, i'll tell you), but it was impeccable driving on my part.

but due to her triumphant success behind the wheel, i will be behind a turnstile instead. in order to satiate her desire for a car and to aid my parents in driving duties, i will be forcibly "donating" my beloved vehicle the White Ghost, Lola to others, to this impending danger of a driving sister. this post serves as a good bye to a trustworthy, loving, and reliable car (for all those interested it's a 98 corolla. toyota makes great cars!), AND as a warning to anyone driving in Lancaster, PA. Be watchful for a white corolla being controlled by this perp (imagine her a few years older, but the size of her head is the same):

I don't know about any of you, but sometimes when I see really cute babies, I just want to bite them. I know I'm not the only one because some of YOU have admitted this desire as well! However I never thought this desire was on large enough of a scale to produce products geared towards eating cute babies. Well..I thought wrong! I found this and am very interested in buying one. Does anyone know any cute babies? ;)

New Book Read

So I've started to read business related publications such as Wall Street, BusinessWeek, Business 2.0, Wired, blah blah blah.  So much so in fact, my last comic book purchase seems a dim memory.  I believe it occurred last year in 2005.  Truly a sad story.

However, today we are talking about a different story.  I never thought this possible, but I've also started to read (or audio read) business books!  For years, businessmen, philosophers, academics publish tomes regarding business strategy, tactics, methodologies, decision making, and studies.  Not only that, some of their works become new york times best sellers such as The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell or From Good to Great by Jim Collins.  The most difficult thing to believe though is that I would actually read one of these books, or even a non-fictional book.  Well folks, I have and I do.  My most recent completed endeavor is a book titled Peripheral Vision: Detecting the Weak Signals That Will Make or Break Your Company by Paul J.H. Shoemaker and George S. Day.

Why you ask?  Well, simply it's a good book.  Delving deeper, it was written by my boss and it relates to my work.  But that shouldn't stop you from reading the book.  It's a simple fast read and if you want, you can buy a copy, send it to me, and I'll have it signed and shipped right back to you! Haha.  All the information can be found on amazon so check it out!

ooh man, again, it's been awhile, but to give an update, my trip to NY was great, BUT I didn't get to go to comicon.  Can you imagine that?  I went there and tickets were sold out!  SOLD OUT!  I mean I thought about buying them in advance, but then I wondered how it would sell out.  I guess I underestimated the number of geeks that exist in the area.  So though I missed out, at least I had more time to hang out with people that I haven't seen in awhile.  I'd post pictures.... but i don't have a camera.

Now the reason I'm MIA again, my play Our Town has been in production so performing 3 or 4 times a week is draining me.  It's a great play though.  When viewed on stage, the story comes alive and becomes much more vibrant and engrossing than when reading this classic play.  If you like the play, then you should def come out and watch it.

Once the play is over though, I still be keeping myself busy, so we'll see when the next update rolls around.  Sorry! :)

I believe I will be in NY next week. My friend is moving to HK so just going to say goodbye.  If anyone wants to hang, let me know.  Not sure if I'll have time.  I'm sort of a geek so I'm going to try to hit up:

Anyone want to nerd it up and go too?
